A gated beachfront home at the centre of the illegal payment which brought down Sir Ngatata Love has failed to sell at auction. It was put under the hammer as part of a bid to recover money for his victims. The top bid was by a mystery phone bidder, whose final bid was $1.435 million, but it did not meet reserve. The bid is now being put before the official assignee to consider which could take a couple of days.
